Yes, the Platinum collection is 100% waterproof from the surface down through the core. It will not swell, warp, or peel when exposed to spills or standing water, making it perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, and basements.

This flooring is not mold-proof so please ensure you are following the installation guides for this type of flooring to assure you have a successful remodel in high moisture areas. 

Yes. WPC flooring features a floating "click-lock" system that makes installation over most existing hard-surface subfloors fast and seamless. Its thicker profile is exceptionally good at hiding minor subfloor imperfections without transferring those bumps to the surface.

Tip: Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level to within 3/16 inch per 10 feet for seamless locking. We have installation guides available upon request.

When selecting a wear layer, thicker is always better for the longevity of your investment. While 12mil to 20mil options are standard for basic residential use, we highly recommend a 22mil wear layer for true peace of mind.

While both are popular rigid-core luxury vinyl options, their core compositions serve different needs:

• SPC (Stone Plastic Composite): Features a limestone-based core. It is denser, thinner, highly dent-resistant, and designed for heavy foot traffic, pets, and commercial spaces. More Rigid.

• WPC (Wood Plastic Composite): Features a wood-flour-based core. It is slightly thicker and softer underfoot with higher sound absorption, but is more vulnerable to heavy impact dents than SPC. More flexible.

WPC flooring is extremely low-maintenance. Simply sweep or vacuum regularly (using a setting without a beater bar). For deeper cleaning, use a damp mop with a pH-neutral, vinyl-safe floor cleaner. Avoid steam mops and harsh, abrasive chemicals, as excessive heat can damage the wear layer over time.
